Steve Bowman was an ordinary kid destined to live an extraordinary life. 

From a small town in Illinois, he was accepted into the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point in 1964. As the nation prepared for war, Steve prepared himself to be a warrior.

After nearly losing his life in Vietnam, he continued to serve his country while becoming a husband and father. His extensive military career would take him around the world as he ascended the ranks, retiring as a Colonel from the U.S. Army.

His toughest battle, however, was yet to come.

Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008, Colonel Bowman, armed with new experimental treatments, would once again muster his strength and warrior spirit as he prepared for the fight of his life.
